Aerospace Special Process Engineer Duties :
- Create and maintain production process routers in conformance with customer PO requirements.
- Obtain and / or maintain SCA certification for heat treat (types as applicable) and diffusion coatings (as applicable), brazing, metal spray, fusion welding and EB weld.
- Own and maintain internal process procedures.
- Certify and train operators in accordance with internal TET procedures.
- Prepare for / Maintain / Facilitate customer, internal and NADCAP audits as required.
- Disposition non-conforming material in accordance with internal TET procedures.
- Perform development and process improvement tasks as assigned.
- Assist in ensuring pyrometry requirements of the latest revision of AMS2750 and customer specifications are met within TET.
- Provide input on quotes as directed.
- Provide cost savings where available including return on investment analysis.
- Perform Source Verification as directed by TET Quality Management.
- Cross train in additional processes at multiple Triumph Engines sites as directed.
- Maintain Platinum Platting line.
- Assist in materials laboratory as requested.
- Other duties as assigned by management.
Requirements
Aerospace Special Process Engineer Requirements :
- Bachelors Degree in Materials Science with 5+ years direct related experience or....
- Bachelors Degree in Materials Science with Masters in Materials Science with 2+ years related experience.
- Honeywell SCA certification (or the ability to immediately obtain) in Heat Treat (Nickel / Cobalt HT) and Coatings (Pack Cementation) preferred.
- Experience with general aerospace Quality requirements is required.
- Thorough knowledge of NADCAP and customer (GE / Honeywell / Rolls Royce) requirements is required.
- Knowledge of FAA Part 145 requirement.
- Experience (1+ years) in additional Special Processes (such as Braze, Heat Treat, Shot Peen, Weld and Thermal Spray) is a plus, although not required.
