Responsibilities :
Manages the identification, evaluation, mitigation, and monitoring of the company's operational and strategic risks
Develop, implement and maintain safety and environmental programs, policies and procedures to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and industry best practices
What you will do :
Develops tools, practices, and policies to analyze and report enterprise risks, and to manage risks according to an enterprise risk management framework
Ensures the organization's risk management policies and strategies are in compliance with applicable regulations and rating agency standards
Manages the design, placement, and administration of the property, liability, workers’ compensation, surety, cyber, directors & officers, fiduciary, crime and employment practices liability insurance programs
Responsible for the negotiation and settlement of all insurance claims
Select and manage insurance broker relationships
Select and manage third party claims administrators and other risk management experts and consultants
Sets vendor insurance requirements
Provide required claims and loss reserve data as well as insurance budget projections
Keep apprised of new developments in risk management and changes in the risk and insurance marketplace
Develop, implement and maintain safety and environmental programs, policies and procedures to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and industry best practices
Provide expertise and guidance on safety-related issues to management, employees, and outside vendors / consultants
Responsible for, and at times creates and leads employee training to promote safe work behaviors and environmental compliance
Coordinate incident investigations, reporting and follow up providing recommendations for continuous improvement
Coordinates the industrial hygiene monitoring for noise, air, vapor, etc.
Obtains, maintains and ensures compliance with environmental approvals, permits, plans and reporting
Oversee site-specific safety audits and inspections to identify potential hazards and recommend corrective actions
Assist with developing and implementation of facility security policies and procedures
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure ongoing alignment and coordination of safety-related initiatives
Understands all safety and environmental hazards of chemicals and raw materials that are handled and stored at the company’s facilities
What you will need :
Bachelor's degree in occupational safety, industrial hygiene, environmental science or related field
Minimum of 10 years of insurance placement experience
Minimum of 5 years of experience in a safety related role in manufacturing or industrial environments
Extensive knowledge of OSHA regulations, NFPA, DOT, applicable ANSI standards and industry best practices related to safety in a manufacturing environment
Familiar with EPA, RCRA and other environmental standards related to manufacturing
Certification in safety and environmental-related fields such as CSP, ASP or CHMM a plus
Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to influence and motivate others
Must be able to travel up to 25% of the time annually and international as needed
