This position will work as part of a team to provide support for end users of personal computers and the associated networks, hardware, and software. The Systems Administrator will be responsible for diagnosing and resolving tier 2-3 technical computer problems and issues, as well as maintaining essential IT infrastructure, including operating systems, security tools, applications, servers, email systems, laptops, desktops, software, and hardware.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Maintain internal infrastructure requirements, including laptop and desktop computers, servers, routers, switches, firewalls, printers, phones, security updates; support internet, intranet, LANs, WANs, and network segments.
• Develop and maintain technical documentation and training material related to systems or workstations.
• Utilize and maintain help desk ticketing software; respond with urgency to IT support requests.
• Act as an escalation point for other members of the team with end user IT issues; assist in collecting, researching, and resolving these complaints.
• Perform ongoing day-to-day operations including maintaining system security, virus / malware software, monitoring usage statistics and system logs, backing up network data, and troubleshoot system-related problems as needed.
• Study software capabilities and operations to prepare system software installation; perform timely workstation / server hardware and software upgrades as required.
• Analyze system performance to optimize efficiency.
• Perform other work-related duties as assigned.
