Job Description
The Senior Analyst Data Governance is responsible for master data related governance, strategy, policies, procedures, and activities with a focus on ERP and ecommerce applications.
This includes customer, supplier and product master data within internal Myers systems and external websites and data management systems.
The Senior Analyst Data Governance develops standards, designs, and implements processes to provide high quality, timely and consistent master data and develops and delivers training and continuous improvement programs.
The day-to-day activities of the Senior Analyst Data Governance demonstrates a culture that emphasizes quality, responsiveness, customer service, productivity, high standards and results.
The Senior Analyst Data Governance is responsible for partnering with others throughout the company to deliver superior results.
The position reports to NNN and maintains open and unbiased communication to ensure the objectives, scope and timeline of projects are maintained and issues surfaced as appropriate.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Actively support the company's culture and business mission by always putting Myers' people and its customers first.
- Establish challenging goals, plans and objectives that support the company's vision.
- Develop and maintain documentation to comply with internal standards and requirements, including step-by-step work instructions and procedures for master data maintenance activities.
- Partner with others throughout the company to design and develop data usage standards, clean-up and validation tasks and on-going maintenance procedures.
- Develop and maintain training documentation and train users on data usage standards, maintenance procedures and data analysis techniques.
- Develop action plans and resolve non-compliance / data integrity issues.
- Manage relationships and serve as primary point of contact for master data related interactions with outside partners which consume Myers' master data.
- Facilitate customer, supplier and item master on-boarding process, including cross functional work teams, to ensure timely, accurate and well communicated customer, supplier and item master and related data updates.
- Establish and support a positive work environment based mutual respect, honesty, teamwork and continuous improvement.
- Actively promotes and personally observes safety and security procedures and uses equipment and materials properly.
- Other responsibilities or projects assigned by manager.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
- Knowledge of master data applications (e.g., ERP, PIM, DAM).
- Identifies and resolves problems in a timely manner and analyzes information skillfully.
- Clear and concise oral and written communication to all levels of the organization.
- Ability to develop and deliver training programs either in person or via web calls.
- Effectively organize and prioritize work.
- Ability to adapt to changing business requirements while maintaining consistent and reliable master data.
Education and Experience
- Five years of successful and progressive business and / or data management related experience.
- Associate or bachelor's degree in a business, communications or business oriented information technology related field of study or equivalent work experience.
- Comprehensive ERP, PIM (Product Information Management) and DAM (Digital Asset Management) applications.
- Experience with one or more of the following customer data management systems : Home Depot, Walmart, Amazon, eBay and others.
- Proficiency in all Microsoft Office applications, in particular Excel and / or Access for advanced data manipulation and analysis.
- Attention to detail and accuracy.
- Consistently at work and on time, able to follow instructions, respond to management direction and solicits feedback to improve performance.
Physical Requirements
- Sitting for long periods of time, completing tasks using a computer and other office equipment.
- Position requires frequent talking, hearing, and vision with occasional standing, walking, and reaching.
- May require lifting up to 10 lbs.
- Job position responsibilities are generally performed in a business office environment with computers, printers and phones.
