Employee Relations Specialist

Salary : $90 to $110K
This position is open until filled but will be open for a minimum of 1 week.
Position Overview : Loenbro is looking for an experienced and proactive Employee Relations Specialist to join our dynamic HR team. The ideal candidate will possess a minimum of 5 years of employee relations experience, preferably within the construction industry. In this role, you will manage complex employee relations issues, ensure compliance with labor laws, and help foster a positive workplace culture. Must be able to pass company pre-employment drug and alcohol tests.
Job Duties :
- Manage and resolve employee relations issues, including conflicts, grievances, disciplinary actions, and terminations.
- Conduct thorough investigations of employee complaints, workplace issues, and policy violations.
- Provide guidance to management on employee relations, performance management, and disciplinary actions.
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws, including labor regulations specific to the construction industry.
- Develop and implement policies and procedures to promote fair and consistent treatment of employees.
- Facilitate training for managers and employees on conflict resolution, workplace harassment, and other employee relations topics.
- Partner with HR leadership to identify trends and recommend proactive strategies for improving employee engagement and retention.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of employment laws and trends, particularly those affecting the construction industry.
- Other duties as assigned.
Skills / Qualifications :
Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field preferred.Ability to travel up to 75% of the time and the flexibility to travel with less than 24 hour notice periodically.Minimum of 5 years of employee relations experience, with a strong preference for experience in the construction industry.In-depth knowledge of labor laws, including FLSA, FMLA, ADA, and OSHA regulations.Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to handle sensitive and confidential matters.Experience conducting investigations and managing conflict resolution.Ability to work independently and as part of a team, demonstrating sound judgment in decision-making.PHR / SPHR certification is a plus.What We Offer :
