Job Description
The Boiler Technician will be responsible for the installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of various types of boilers and associated equipment.
The ideal candidate should be a journeyman with a minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in the field and possess in-depth knowledge of boiler systems.
Key Responsibilities
Installation and Maintenance : Efficiently install, inspect, and maintain various types of boiler systems, ensuring their proper functionality and adherence to safety standards.
Troubleshooting and Repairs : Identify, troubleshoot, and resolve issues related to boiler systems, controls, and auxiliary equipment, applying advanced technical expertise and problem-solving skills.
Safety Compliance : Ensure strict adherence to safety protocols and regulations during all boiler operations, promoting a safe work environment for yourself and the team.
Diagnostic Inspections : Conduct routine inspections and diagnostic tests on boilers to preempt potential issues and optimize performance.
Team Collaboration : Collaborate with the team to develop effective boiler maintenance strategies and provide guidance to junior technicians and apprentices, fostering their professional growth.
Documentation and Reporting : Maintain comprehensive records of maintenance activities, including repairs, inspections, and parts inventory, ensuring accurate documentation for future reference.
Qualifications
Journeyman Status : Hold a recognized journeyman's license in the field of boiler technology.
Experience : Minimum of 5 years of hands-on experience working with various types of boilers, demonstrating a strong understanding of their operations and maintenance requirements.
Technical Expertise : In-depth knowledge of boiler systems, controls, and associated equipment, coupled with the ability to interpret technical manuals and schematics.
Problem-Solving Skills : Exhibit strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to troubleshoot complex issues efficiently and effectively.
Communication Skills : Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate with the team and effectively communicate technical information.
Safety Focus : Strong commitment to adhering to safety protocols and regulations, ensuring a safe work environment for all.
License and Transportation : Possess a valid driver's license and reliable transportation for work-related travel.
