Automotive Service Manager

Overview

We are seeking an experienced Automotive Service Manager to oversee our service department operations in Dana Point, CA. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in automotive service and repair, exceptional leadership skills, and a commitment to delivering outstanding customer service. Operational Hours : Monday–Friday 8 am–5 pm, Saturday 8 am–3 pm.

Responsibilities

• Manage day-to-day operations of the automotive service department, including scheduling, staffing, and workflow optimization.
• Ensure efficient and profitable operation by monitoring productivity, managing resources, and controlling expenses.
• Hire, train, and supervise service department personnel, fostering a positive work environment and encouraging professional growth.
• Maintain high standards of customer satisfaction by addressing inquiries, resolving complaints, and ensuring quality service delivery.
• Must have diagnostic knowledge.
• Implement and enforce company policies and procedures related to safety, quality, and service standards.
• Collaborate with the sales department to promote service offerings and maximize customer retention.
• Oversee inventory management and parts ordering to ensure availability and cost-effectiveness.
• Monitor industry trends and technological advancements to recommend improvements in service operations.
• Prepare and analyze departmental reports, budgets, and forecasts for management review.
