Senior Supplier Quality & Reliability Manager
Reporting to the VP of Customer Operations, this role leads a team focused on supplier quality and reliability. The position involves hands-on leadership of daily operations, team development, and process improvement. The manager will collaborate with design, development, manufacturing, and supply chain teams to enhance product quality and accelerate production timelines.
Responsibilities
- Lead geographically distributed teams and drive change using Six Sigma, SPC, and LEAN methodologies.
- Manage reliability modeling (FMEA, RBD) and corrective actions.
- Oversee statistical analysis including regression, time series modeling, warranty trends, and forecasting.
- Provide guidance and escalation support for supplier and product quality engineers.
- Resolve reliability and supplier issues within service level agreements.
- Address quality issues affecting customers and internal operations.
- Ensure audit compliance with ISO and customer standards.
- Lead quality reviews and improvements across suppliers, factories, and customer feedback.
- Set and meet reliability and compliance objectives.
- Promote continuous improvement and data-driven decision-making.
- Track quality issues across cross-functional teams.
- Build strong relationships with suppliers, customers, and internal stakeholders.
- Identify and deliver quality-related training.
- Integrate quality methodologies into corporate processes.
- Demonstrate leadership and resolve complex issues efficiently.
Qualifications
Broad knowledge of electronic hardware and firmware development.Strong experience in supplier relations and problem-solving.Background in test engineering, quality, and product reliability.Ability to manage high-pressure production issues and customer communications.Familiarity with risk management and accelerated life / product validation testing.Skills in debugging and failure analysis of electronic assemblies.Strategic thinking with a systems perspective.Adaptability in dynamic environments and shifting priorities.Professionalism, discretion, and proactive problem-solving.Strong planning, leadership, and time management.Statistical and analytical expertise.Experience in global organizations and mentoring.Quick learner of reporting and analysis tools.Effective communicator across all management levels.5+ years in people management in customer-facing roles.10+ years in quality / reliability roles, preferably in high-tech or electronics manufacturing.Bachelor's degree in Engineering or equivalent experience.Lean / Six Sigma certification is a plus.Compensation & Benefits
