You'll be at the heart of our Social Impact department, collaborating to create, organize, and assess the impact of vital social and health initiatives.
Your role?
Empowering residents to enhance their quality of life through tailored programs and services.
Essential Job Functions Serve as a subject matter expert to facilitate procedures related to housing for all assigned subsidy programs (e.g. CityFHEPS, Section 8, Project Based Section 8, etc.) Assist residents with annual and interim certification and recertification process for subsidy programs and / or annual tax credit certification.
Utilize appropriate documentation system to track all work done with residents and complete paperwork with all residents who utilize the Service Coordination Program.
Coordinate with key stakeholders including New York City HPD, HDC, HRA, DHCR, HFA, etc.
Maintain administrative oversight of all documentation to ensure accuracy within Yardi. Must be present on-site and be able to move throughout the building to address community-related matters, including exceptional communication skills to meet with tenants, staff, vendors and visitors.
Ability to ascend and descend stairs and be comfortable with exposure to varying environmental climates and circumstances.
Position may be required to perform duties outside their normal responsibilities as needed.
Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in business or social work is preferred, or a minimum of 2 years of experience working in resident support, social work, affordable or multifamily housing.
Proficiency in navigating computers and community management software, including Microsoft Office, iLuvLeasing, On-Site, and Yardi.
Strong understanding of housing subsidies, rental assistance programs, and Fair Housing laws.
Interpersonal communication skills in English and Spanish is preferred.
Valid NYS real estate license or ability to obtain one within the first 120 days of employment.
All active license holders must register their license with Rose Associates upon hire.
