This requisition will be used to fill two (2) positions.

GENERAL POSITION DESCRIPTION :

This is highly technical work, primarily concerned with planning, installing, customizing, and maintaining AIX hosted operating systems, operating system software, complex vendor application software, and the supporting server infrastructure in an Enterprise environment. This position requires knowledge of planning and implementing security measures to safeguard computer resources. This position will also be responsible for testing disaster recovery plans for critical business processes, which utilize these operating systems and sub-systems. The current environment is AIX running IBM Power Hypervisor / IBM PowerVM Virtual I / O Server. This position also involves designing, installing, maintaining, and troubleshooting multiple applications including WebSphere, Web Intelligence, Tivoli Storage Manager, Tivoli Workload Scheduler, HTTP servers, Load balancers, Proxy servers, Caching Servers, Oracle products and desktop tools. This position also includes installing, maintaining, and troubleshooting attached fiber switches and SAN storage controller and shelves. This position includes managing IBM Ultra Scalable Libraries and other short and long-term backup and storage solutions both on and offsite.
