Responsibilities
- Advocate for each consumer by making recommendations for enhancements of the
consumer’s lifestyle
Coordinate consumer servicesGuide staff to empower consumers and promote independenceRespond to consumer, staff, supervisor, guardian, and case manager regardingconcerns and requests
Supervise duties of direct support staffParticipate in recruiting, interviewing, hiring of direct support employeesProvide guidance, assistance, or training to othersAssist with completion of performance evaluations and provide supportive / correctiveaction when necessary in cooperation with Human Resources Department
Direct consumer staffing meetings / attend all management meetings and trainingConduct thorough training with team members that demonstrates accurate proceduresEnsure sites have adequate staff coverageProvide productive feedback that aids in staff education and strengthens moraleUtilize problem resolution procedure to minimize conflictManage employee schedules, review / approve time off requests, complete necessarytime and attendance tasks
Help staff access stress management resourcesEnforce safety procedures and adherence to individual service plansConduct site / vehicle maintenance reviews to ensure cleanliness and prompt resolutionof safety issues
Follow state regulations regarding the maintenance of the physical structureEnsure availability of necessary site supplies and furnishingsProvide clerical duties to office for consumer and employee files, correspondencedocumentation
Interact with others in a positive, cooperative, and effective mannerAssist with personal cares as necessaryAct as a positive role model for consumers, fellow employees and team membersReview and modify consumer service plans and behavioral support plansReview records of medical documentation, consumer progress, change in condition,and activities via R-Tasks or paper documentation regularly to ensure accuracy and
completion
Monitor operational / office budgets and authorized expendituresAudit / reconcile consumer and site fund documentationManage sensitive / confidential situations and documentation, using strict confidentialitypractices at all times
Organize and prioritize workEffectively communicate through emails, documentation, reporting, and guardian / casemanagement correspondence
Assess and provide necessary information to Regional Coordinator regardingconsumer / site / vehicle / staff needs
Make recommendations to effectively resolve problems or issues by using judgment thatis consistent with standards, practices, policies, proocedures, regulations, and laws
