A Brief Overview
The Senior Client Audit Analyst supports the external USIM Operations client audit process and ongoing audit functions. Executes external client audits to evaluate client data quality conditions and standards and to ensure compliance with the terms of the treaty(ies), as well as assess compliance with internal administrative practices. Identifies process improvements or needs for training. Ensures audit procedures are accurate and provides assistance and technical expertise on administrative issues to internal and external partners. Responds to clients' external auditors' requests for confirmation. Assists with external audit SOX internal control assurance requests. Assists audit team with special projects.
What You Will Do
Supports the establishment and implementation of internal and external audit processes for effective customer reinsurance administrative evaluations and feedback.
Reviews reinsurance administrative functions, activities and client relations to recommend nature, scope, direction and thrust of the proposed audit or project. Designs audit procedures to effectively assess controls and meet audit objectives.
Validates client data testing results. Reviews and validates calculations received from clients.
Resolves outstanding audit items and generates reports while coordinating the resolutions with client and / or other areas within Operations.
Respond to confirmation requests from clients' external auditors within established deadlines.
Develops positive relationships with customers and encourages their overall customer practice to the advantage of RGA Re.
Acts as a liaison between internal management, external audit clients, RGA Internal Audit and US Operations Administration.
Maintains up-to-date audit procedures and coordinates recommended changes with other areas within Operations.
Participates in internal administrative data quality reviews, processing, projects and initiatives to remain versed in Operations processes, procedures and best practices.
Performs other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Bachelor's Degree in Arts / Sciences (BA / BS) with an emphasis in accounting / finance or equivalent experience required
2+ Years financial services experience required
Basic Microsoft Word skills and Microsoft Outlook Skills required
Advanced Microsoft Excel skills required
Intermediate SQL skills and Query skills required
Basic goal setting skills; Takes initiative and is accountable; Ability to balance detail with departmental goals / objectives required
Ability to read and interpret treaty language, and to apply it appropriately required
Intermediate analytical and problem solving skills. Must be flexible and adaptive to change; Change initiation skills required
Intermediate knowledge of accounting / finance; Demonstrate an understanding of accounting functions and impact on financial results. required
Demonstrated ability to negotiate with internal and external customers to resolve issues / problems; Ability to persuade others required
Advanced written and oral communication skills; Ability to share and impart knowledge required
Ability to work independently as well as work well within a team environment and participate in department projects required
Advanced Query skills preferred
Complex analytical and problem solving skills preferred
Progress toward FLMI, ALHC or other relevant professional accreditation Preferred

Compensation Range : $65,050.00 - $92,400.00 Annual Base pay varies depending on job-related knowledge, skills, experience and market location. In addition, RGA provides an annual bonus plan that includes all roles and some positions are eligible for participation in our long-term equity incentive plan. RGA also maintains a full range of health, retirement, and other employee benefits.
