Job description

SUMMARY OF POSITION :

  • Set-up, program, and operate CNC Mazak turning centers.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND DUTIES :

  • Program CNC Mazak Lathes from reading / interpreting blueprints
  • Set-up and run Lathe applications that include soft turning, hard turning, threading, and center work (I.D. boring).
  • Must inspect the manufactured parts and edit programs or adjust offsets and tooling to meet the print requirements.
  • Understand standard and geometric tolerances on blueprints.
  • Must be able to set up and use precision bore gages, OD snaps, micrometers, indicators, and gage block set-ups.

    • OTHER REQUIREMENTS :

  • Work overtime when necessary.
  • Follow written and verbal instructions accurately
  • Participate in problem solving and continuous improvement efforts.

    • Pay commensurate with experience.
