SUMMARY OVERVIEW
Treats patients, mentors, supervises work performed by therapy staff and contributes to the management of daily operations in Radiation Oncology.
ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES :
- Coordinates daily staffing coverage, rotations and time usage in the treatment area.10%
- Reviews and maintains electronic medical records for treatment delivery, charge entry and quality assurance.20%
- Troubleshoots problems related to treatment equipment, patient schedules, and staffing.15%
- Performs patient simulations, delivers a prescribed radiation treatment, and assesses / educates patients according to specific department guidelines.40%
QUALIFICATIONS : Minimum
Minimum
- 3 years of experience as a Radiation Therapist
- Radiation Therapy Certification and Registration
Preferred
None
Performs other duties as assigned or required which may include but not limited to mentoring employees / students and participating in hospital initiatives.15%
