Eic Business Development / Investor Relations
The VP Business Development / Investor Relations ("VP BD / IR") role supports the existing business and growth objectives of Energy Infrastructure Credit ("EIC"), a multi-billion-dollar investment platform which is a strategic initiative of Nuveen. The primary role is to ensure the business is well positioned to meet the substantial growing investor demand for infrastructure private credit opportunities. This role supports business development efforts, various investment product rollouts, and the syndication process for co-investments. The VP BD / IR is expected to have experience in private credit alternative investment strategies with a preference for knowledge of sustainable and / or traditional energy or power.
Key Responsibilities and Duties :
- Support the EIC Investment Strategist in working closely with Nuveen distribution with the business development efforts in support of the investment strategies of EIC. In connection with fundraising initiatives and activities for EIC, this includes attending potential investor meetings and drafting education and marketing presentation materials
- Responsible for prompt responses to existing and potential investor information requests and LP communication materials, i.e., RFPs, DDQ documents, quarterly portfolio reports for investors
- Support the EIC co-investment process by : (i) working closely with the EIC Investment Strategist and Nuveen distribution on business development efforts related to co-investment syndication (ii) tracking and managing outreach and Q&A, and (ii) working with Nuveen product, legal, and client services on transaction process and documentation. Familiarity with co-investment syndication process and various structures for client access is necessary
- Work collaboratively with EIC investment team, Investment Strategist, and VP IR on materials for external use, i.e., gathering information and preparing investor materials in support of fundraising and co-investment process, investment updates, market updates, quarterly investor reports, etc
- Track key industry and investment trends in the sustainable energy and broader energy and power markets and assess competitive landscape to identify new opportunities for EIC
- Participate in client or prospective client calls and presentations in order to support the EIC Investment Strategist, Nuveen distribution, and institutional clients
- Experience and facility with various vehicles to access alternative investment(s) : funds, fund of one, SMA, Rate Note Feeder, etc.
- Ability to successfully work independently and parallel process projects with general supervision

Required Experience :
3+ years of direct experience at an asset manager, insurance company or ratings agency.3+ years of direct experience with alternatives, structured credit or private debt products.Familiarity with legal documentation of private funds, co-investments, and other private market structures such as SMAs, Fund of One.Business, Economics, or related degree.Preferred Experience :

Base Pay Range : $175,000 / yr - $225,000 / yr
Actual base salary may vary based upon, but not limited to, relevant experience, time in role, base salary of internal peers, prior performance, business sector, and geographic location. In addition to base salary, the competitive compensation package may include, depending on the role, participation in an incentive program linked to performance (for example, annual discretionary incentive programs, non-annual sales incentive plans, or other non-annual incentive plans).
