Summary
The IT Specialist is responsible for supporting and maintaining the organization’s IT infrastructure, ensuring optimal performance of systems, and providing technical assistance to users. This role involves hardware and software maintenance, network support, and collaboration on IT projects to meet business needs.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and maintain IT systems to support operational goals
- Install, configure, and troubleshoot hardware and software
- Provide technical support to end-users for applications and devices
- Maintain and upgrade IT systems including servers, PCs, peripherals, and telecom
- Collaborate with stakeholders to define requirements for new technologies
- Recommend improvements to IT infrastructure and processes
- Develop and enforce IT policies and procedures
- Coordinate with external vendors to ensure service quality
- Track and manage IT assets (hardware, software, equipment)
- Participate in IT initiatives and special projects
- Perform other duties as assigned
- Bachelor’s degree in IT or related field preferred
- CompTIA A+ or equivalent certification required
- Minimum 2 years of relevant IT experience
- Background in manufacturing environments preferred
- Strong knowledge of Windows OS and Microsoft Office
- Proficient in networking, hardware, servers, and operating systems
- Experience in application support and IT project coordination
