Hours : Mon – Friday 8 : 00-5 : 00; (plus every other Saturday 8 : 00 – 1 : 30)

Reports To : Owner & VP of Operations
Requirements :
5 years hands-on experience in Purchasing : Materials Management, Supply Chain, Inventory Control –preferably in a manufacturing / automotive environment
Minimum 5 years managerial / supervisory experience : Training, Development and Performance Evaluations
Familiar with labor law compliance, Interviewing, Hiring
Above average understanding of manufacturing and warehouse operations
Can work with complex BOM structures
Ability to implement and administer purchasing operating standards and procedures
Familiar with ERP operating systems (preferably Sage 100)
Experience with MRP system : forecasting, production planning and inventory control
Experience in updating operating systems and software implementation and conversion
Must have excellent problem solving skills
Able to work well with cross-functional departments and managers
Strong knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook
Job Duties :
Oversee overall procurement, purchase orders and coordination of raw materials and component deliveries
Managing Purchasing Department staff : Training, Coaching, Performance, Attendance
Overseeing department production schedules
Weekly review of shortages, planning and forecasting with staff to ensure production and delivery schedules are met
Performs additional duties per Upper Management’s direction
Education :
Purchasing and / or Supply Chain Management degree or equivalent professional qualification
