As a Security Guard - Armed Government Patrol in Homestead, FL, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. As an Armed Patrol Officer with Allied Universal, you will monitor and patrol designated government locations, helping to deter security-related incidents through visible presence and professional conduct. You will be responsible for routine armed patrols and engaging with the public to deliver exceptional customer service and communication. What You'll Do
- Use our proprietary scheduling platform to claim open shifts at client sites
- Support operations across a range of environments including commercial real estate, healthcare, and education
- Receive site-specific training and guidance from experienced teams
- Deliver consistent, professional security presence and customer service
- Be ready to fill in at short notice when urgent needs arise
Responsibilities
Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures, following site-specific policies, and responding to emergency situations as neededRespond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, utilizing appropriate de-escalation techniques when necessaryConduct regular and random armed patrols around the assigned location and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activitiesMonitor the premises for unusual activity and report any suspicious behavior or incidents according to established protocolsMaintain a visible presence to help to deter potential threats and reassure the public at the government locationInteract professionally with visitors, staff, and members of the public, addressing questions and concerns related to security-related mattersDocument incidents and observations accurately and submit reports as required by Allied Universal and site-specific proceduresWhat We're Looking For

Minimum Requirements
Have a minimum of three years of combined law enforcement, military, or security-related experience or possess a college degreePossess a valid armed guard card or license as required by applicable laws and regulationsProvide proof of a high school diploma or GED as required by the clientBe at least 21 years of age for armed rolesPossess a high school diploma or equivalentAs a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local lawsAllied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable lawsAs a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by lawParticipate in industry-specific security training programsLicensing requirements are subject to state and / or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employmentA valid driver's license will be required for driving positions onlyWhy Join Us
