Position Overview :
The most important part of the job is ensuring the smooth operation and profitability of an assigned region. The DSD Operations Manager is an analytical, hands-on operator who understands the effect of all decision-making process on the profitability of the business. Must be adaptable, flexible to changing business priorities, and capable of shifting business resources as needed so objectives are met. The DSD Operations Manager will be the businesses' liaison between DSD field execution and Falcon Farms' production facilities.
Responsibilities and expectations :
- Ensure profitability of Falcon's DSD business within the assigned region. Liaise with Falcon Farms' support and operations teams as required. Maintain contact with store managers and respond to inquiries pertaining to the region.
- Allocate resources as needed based on business challenges – Ensure the availability of resources to the team.
- Collaborate with production and transportation to ensure product availability for daily deliveries
- Devises and implements effective procedures for daily warehouse operations consistent with company guidelines.
- Works closely with regional management to recognize and develop or correct operational problems or issues.
- Directs and maintains receiving, warehousing, and distribution operations by initiating, coordinating, and enforcing the company's policies and procedures.
- Maintain administrative matters such as expense tracking, maintenance schedules and cost controls
- Engage with field operations to ensure field execution effectiveness
- Demonstrated ability to perform and adapt in a changing environment as necessary.
- Assume responsibility for the development of the leadership team through hiring, training, continuous improvement, and accountability for performance
- Proactively identify and resolve operational disruptions, ensuring minimal impact on delivery schedules and service levels
- Lead and hold team accountable for timely delivery and accurate inventory
- Travel required at least 25% of the time

Bachelor's degree required in engineering or business managementMinimum 3 years operations management experience in a distribution facilityAbility to identify and assess talent. Must have the ability to mentor, coach and develop others.Direct Report to : Regional DSD Operations Manager
