Construction Manager Opportunity

Our Construction Managers are responsible for the overall direction, completion, and financial outcome of a nuclear-related construction project. You will be responsible for directing and supervising the work of project administration, project superintendents, and engineers to establish operational priorities and maintain effective relationships with owners, subcontractors, etc.

This position is managed out of Lenexa, KC, supporting active KNS DOE and nuclear construction sites : Aiken, SC, Oak Ridge, TN, or Idaho Falls, ID; other locations may be in CA, ID, and UT. Responsibilities include ensuring the project meets or exceeds its financial objectives, coordinating daily / weekly meetings, managing all field operations, overseeing monthly job cost updates, anticipating project needs, establishing work plans, resolving technical difficulties, communicating with department leads, ensuring project superintendents understand and execute the work, ensuring safety, quality, and production is maintained, and being responsible for project closeout.
Qualifications include a bachelor's degree from an accredited university in Engineering, Construction, or related discipline, or in lieu of a degree, 20+ years of heavy industrial construction and senior leadership experience. Additional qualifications include 10+ years of supervisory experience in construction management, experience in executing federal contracts, Project Management Professional (PMP) certification and / or registered Professional Engineer certification, experience on large-scale construction projects, knowledge of relevant international standards, specification and codes, familiarity with technical drawings systems and planning & reporting systems, ability to work with and manage unionized workers or subcontractors, excellent communication skills, goal-oriented, interpersonal skills, compliance, proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, and ability to travel time from 25-50% within our Southeast or Northwest regions.
