General Ledger Accountant Real Estate

Location : San Francisco, CA

Schedule : Full-Time | MondayFriday, Standard Business Hours

A well-established real estate firm is seeking a General Ledger Accountant to join its dynamic team. This role offers the opportunity to work closely with property management and accounting teams, supporting financial operations across a diverse portfolio. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, proactive, and thrives in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities

Financial Operations & Reporting

• Oversee accounts payable, accounts receivable, collections, and revenue / expense coding
• Analyze and reconcile balance sheet accounts
• Post non-recurring tenant charges as requested by property management
• Prepare journal entries with appropriate documentation
• Participate in month-end close and prepare monthly financial reporting packages
• Monitor and review cash flow forecasts across multiple bank accounts and projects
• Review outstanding A / R balances for accuracy
• Proactively resolve issues impacting financial statements
