Procurement Agent (Construction & Gen. Contracting)
As a Procurement Agent for our general contracting business, you will play a crucial role in sourcing commercial construction materials and services from qualified vendors, ensuring efficient project execution, and maintaining compliance with project-specific requirements.
Your responsibilities will span vendor prequalification, negotiation, contract management, and risk mitigation.
- Engage in vendor communication and management by procuring materials and services from qualified vendors based on project requirements.
- Obtain competitive pricing for materials and services as needed and oversee the prequalification process for vendors.
- Lead the review and recommendation process for new and existing vendors based on compliance with scope requirements, insurance, bonding, and other project-specific criteria.
Review financials, competitiveness, timely response as part of the vendor selection process.
- Work interdepartmentally with project teams to ensure the timely provisioning of materials. Collaborate with Operations to define general and special conditions, safety requirements, and scope requisitions.
- Negotiate scope and pricing for Master Term agreements with vendors.
- Prepare and issue purchase order agreements. Oversee the process and follow up to ensure timely execution of agreements.
- Audit and track receipt of insurance certificates and other project-specific items.
- Collaborate with Dir Procurement to develop, execute, and monitor Risk Management Plans. Address risks related to procurement, contracts, and vendor performance.
- Work closely with the procurement team to streamline processes and enhance efficiency.

Qualifications : Bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, or related field or commensurate experience.
Proven experience in procurement, vendor management, and contract administration. Strong written and verbal communication skills and high attention to detail.
