This position is responsible for the field sales of the entire portfolio of Cognex products. This is a sales role for a defined territory and / or set of end users, partners, and automation machine builders (OEM's). The TLSE (Territory Logistics Sales Engineer) will work closely with the Sales Manager to develop account strategies and tactics. The ATLSE will be responsible for meeting or exceeding a defined quota at assigned or newly found accounts and expanding our base of business. The employee will embody the core values of Cognex including Work Hard, Play Hard, and Move Fast. Additional tasks will be assigned as needed by the manager.
Key Responsibilities :
Drive territory bookings by implementing best practices in territory and account management, with a focus on both on prospective and current Logistics customers.
Conduct product demonstrations and trials, addressing customer applications and needs to provide effective solutions.
Maintain accurate weekly forecasts and monitor sales metrics, ensuring clear and timely information flow within the team.
Leverage CRM tools to input sales activity data and capture market trends, competitor insights, and key performance metrics to drive data-informed decision-making.
Key Qualifications :
2-3 years of technical sales experience required, ideally within the automation or a related industry.
Action-oriented, results-driven approach with a strong ability to work independently in a dynamic field sales environment.
Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution, ideally in a STEM or Business field. Non-STEM applicants must pass a technical aptitude test.
Ability to travel (mostly drive) 50-75% of the time is required.
