Review and understand requests (emails, phone calls, in-person and virtual meetings) from the internal and external customer and peers, tech requirements or needs.Review of current design tasks and their statusParticipate in design and / or manufacturing meetings for each of the projects this designer participates in, as the opportunity arises.Understand and discuss project / product requirements, interact with Lead Designers and Tech Leaders, perform 3D modeling and basic FEA if / as needed during the development of the design concepts.Drawing review and mark-ups for corrections as needed for current and new designs.DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES :
Position is meant to cover the responsibilities of the Large Mining Trucks' steering arms and linkages design engineer. This backfill position aligns to our Product group and Operations teams (Decatur and Acua) to enable the design team to support the efforts related to the quality improvement and product demand increased rates projected in the business plan. The focus of this design will be on the Rigid Frame LMT Electric Drive trucks. The Agency / TPL position is needed to lead on-site factory design / development efforts related to new product introduction and design for manufacturing projects. Among the design responsibilities of this position, the Designer is also responsible for heavy fabs Factory and Supplier collaboration support, BIQ deployment and CPI support for (Rigid Frame) Large Mining Trucks (LMT) heavy fabs at the Decatur Facility.Design Engineer Mechanical or equivalent for large mining trucks heavy fabrications steering linkages, front, rear axles and casting developmentEDUCATION & EXPERIENCE :
Years of experience : 8 yearsDegree requirement : BS Mechanical, Agricultural or Civil EngineeringREQUIRED TECHNICAL SKILLS :
