Position Summary :
The Survey Technician's primary function is the production of survey computations, work maps and plats. Typical projects will include plot plans, mortgage surveys, boundary plats, grading plans, and topographic surveys. Some field work may be required with this position. You will be responsible for meeting project schedules as assigned by your supervisor.
Job Responsibilities :
- Post survey field data processing
- Create mapping from field crew data to meet the client / job specific requirements
- Preparation and set-up of survey data for field crews
- Deed and reference map plotting
- Calculations for construction layout, as-built surveys and / or sketches
- Grade sheet preparation
- ALTA / NSPS land title survey, subdivision plats, lot consolidations
- Preparation of Metes & Bounds descriptions
- Drafting of FEMA Elevation certificate
- Perform other duties as assigned
Job Qualifications :
3+ years of experience in AutoCAD and Carlson Software is preferred2+ years of experience drawing plot plansField experience is preferredGeneral knowledge of surveying equipment, practices, and principlesKnowledge of mathematics through algebra, geometry, and trigonometryGreat attitude and a desire to grow professionallyWork requirements :
May require the ability to sit for long periods of time, stand, walk and manipulate (carry, lift, move) light to medium weights of 10-50 pounds.Ability to walk construction job sites and climb ladders is necessary.Requires good hand-eye coordination, arm, hand, and finger dexterity, including the ability to grasp, and visual acuity to use a keyboard, operate technical equipment, read technical information and to analyze complex data.Occasional travel to offsite locations to perform work and work- related errands or to attend meetings may be required.Why KBJW?
