What to Expect
The Production Control Process Engineer will design and continuously optimize material flow systems that ensure the right material is delivered at the right place, at the right time, in the right quantity, and at the lowest cost. Develop repeatable processes for new and existing programs, focusing on eliminating waste, improving efficiency, and managing change without disrupting production flow.Create synchronized material flow within the entire Value Stream, from suppliers to external warehouses and the plant. Maximize space utilization, balance production volumes and mix, minimize internal handling, and reduce stock levels while identifying and addressing flow anomalies.
What You'll Do
- Collaborate with stakeholders (Manufacturing, Logistics, Supply Chain, Packaging, IT Systems, and Material Planning) to design and optimize end-to-end material flow
- Apply the 7 Steps for Material Flow Logic : PFEP Development, Layout Definition, Flow Definition, Headcount Definition, PIV Definition, IT / Call-off System Definition, and Process Sheet Development
- Develop and implement methodologies such as JIT, Kanban, FIFO, and shared transport to enhance logistics efficiency
- Design simulation models for receiving, staging, sequencing, kitting, and assembly line conveyance
- Continuously engage with operations to evaluate, improve, and standardize material flow processes
- Balance production volumes and mix to increase line saturation while reducing NVAA (Non-Value-Added Activities)
- Design strategies that integrate efficient use of equipment like forklifts, dollies, and AGVs (Automated Guided Vehicles), ensuring safety and productivity
- Create training materials and implement standard work procedures to ensure repeatable, efficient processes
- Develop business cases for improvements in automation, touch reduction, and workforce planning
What You'll Bring
Degree in Industrial Engineering, Supply Chain Management, or equivalent experienceCommanding knowledge of lean principles, logistics systems, and time-motion standardsExpertise in tools such as Excel, SQL, and AutoCADBasic knowledge of material handling equipment, including forklifts, dollies, AGVs, and their integration in logistics systemsExperience in applying material management methodologies (JIT, FIFO, etc.) and optimizing Value StreamsProven track record of implementing process improvements and working in high-paced, dynamic environmentsCompensation and Benefits Benefits
