Plant Manager
Martin Marietta is currently looking for a Plant Manager to be responsible for leading and managing all safety efforts at the plant as well as planning, quality control, customer services and maintenance functions. Additional objectives include asset protection, financials, budgeting, cost control, environmental, personnel and community relations. This position will lead the management team and hourly employees for our Kokomo, Indiana Surface and Underground sand and limestone mining operations.
Responsibilities include :
- Leading safety programs and training, promoting Martin Marietta's Guardian Angel culture.
- Responsible for leading the safety, health, environmental programs, guidelines and policies.
- Leading and developing salary and hourly workforce to create teamwork and drive a safe and productive environment.
- Ensuring compliance with company, local, state and federal rules and regulations.
- Leading operations to established production, safety, and environmental objectives and metrics.
- Responsible for the planning and scheduling of plant activities to include scheduling, production and training activities.
- Completing daily production, safety and maintenance reports accurately.
- Responsible for maintaining the quality of all products.
- Maintaining housekeeping and appearance standards as established.
- Assisting with equipment repairs and housekeeping as needed.
- Other duties as assigned.
- Training others as needed.
- Managing multiple tasks and prioritizing production needs.

This position will be accountable for up to 15 employees.
Work Environment :
This job operates frequently in a maintenance and operations environment in a surface plant and UG mine location. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as a computer, phone, and copier.
Position Type / Expected Hours of Work :
This is a full-time position and will require 40+ hours per week.
Required Education and Experience :
A bachelor's degree in management or engineering preferred or equivalent work / military experienceSeven or more years of supervisory experience in the mining industry of aggregate-based construction materials such as limestone with preferred underground experience.Knowledge of MSHA regulationsAdditional Eligibility Qualifications :
