Job Requirements
Primary Responsibilities
- Author and implement practical, effective and compliant EHS programs for client.
- Identify, coordinate and implementation the use of best practices in the EHS field.
- Develop and deliver training on EHS compliance topics.
- Gather data and report on client's EHS key performance indicators.
- Remain current on new legislation, codes, technologies and developments in the EHS field.
- Reviews workers' compensation claims reports and consults with human resources to reduce such claims where possible.
- Represent company in discussions with regulatory agencies, government boards and industry organizations.
- Regularly travel between the two locations to evaluate safe work practices, build strong EHS culture, and deliver training.
- Identify and evaluate hazardous conditions and practices in the workplace. Develop controls for identified hazards. Coordinate the implementation of controls from results of hazard analyses.
- Measure and evaluate the effectiveness of hazard control systems, policies and procedures, and recommend changes that capitalize on opportunities to eliminate work place accidents and injuries.
- Investigate accident and incident reports within 24 hours of occurrence. Analyze reports to identify causal factors and trends, prepare recommendations for corrective action to eliminate or minimize potential hazards, and communicate information to stakeholders.
- Conduct new employee EHS orientation.
- Maintain inventory of PPE and EHS supplies.
- Provide advice concerning compliance with applicable local, state, and federal regulations.

Bachelor's Degree, preferably in Chemical Engineering, is preferred.
