Position Summary
We are seeking a highly experienced and registered Professional Engineer (PE) , specializing in either Mechanical or Electrical systems, to join our team in Texas. This role requires a proven background in Commercial Construction projects, including complex structures such as hospitals, schools, mid-to-high-rise buildings, stadiums, tunnels, or bridges.
The primary purpose of this position is to manage the mechanical or electrical design aspects of major projects, ensuring technical excellence and adherence to project deadlines and budgets.
Work Schedule
- In-Office Hours : Monday Thursday, 7 : 30 AM to 5 : 00 PM.
- Half-Day Fridays : Enjoy a reduced schedule every Friday.
Key Responsibilities
Serve as the overall technical lead for the mechanical or electrical design aspects of assigned projects.Prepare detailed design documents in accordance with established engineering and company standards.Collaborate with and direct the work of other mechanical / electrical staff during system design and documentation phases.Project Management and Budget
Monitor project status and development closely to ensure all deadlines are met successfully.Coordinate weekly with the Project Manager to manage staffing / manpower needs and timing.Review mechanical / electrical budget hours and coordinate any necessary adjustments with the Project Manager.Ensure the completion of documents allows sufficient time for a thorough QA / QC (Quality Assurance / Quality Control) review prior to project deadlines.Client and Team Collaboration
Meet and engage with clients to build strong professional relationships that foster future repeat business.Communicate and collaborate effectively with other disciplines within the firm and external consultants.Mentor and work closely with other mechanical / electrical staff to facilitate design completion and project timelines.Qualifications
Requirements
Registration : Must be a Registered Professional Engineer (PE) .Experience Focus : Strong background in the design of commercial facilities such as hospitals, schools, high-rise construction, or geotechnical projects (e.g., bridges, tunnels, roadways). Candidates with only Oil & Gas experience will not be considered.Communication : Exceptional verbal and written communication skills and ability to socialize professionally with clients.Professional Development
