What youll do
- You are the technical lynchpin through the entire sales cycle pre-sales and account technical leadership. You will work with Public Sector prospects and customers to educate, empower, and ensure their success on the Cloudflare platform.
- Apply your technical expertise in Cloudflares global distributed network to identify best-fit solutions, train and onboard new customers via video or in person, create documentation, and support the customers long-term technology strategy.
- Act as the technical customer advocate within Cloudflare and collaborate with Sales, Product, Engineering, and Customer Support to drive success.
- As a Public Sector SE, have strong knowledge of on-premise security and networking, and cloud initiatives common to US Public Sector customers. Travel may be required (approximately 3040%); most engagement is remote.
Qualifications and expectations
Demonstrated understanding of internet technologies : OSI model layers 17, routing TCP / UDP, DNS (authoritative and recursive), HTTP(S), SSL / TLS.Comfort with on-premises infrastructure and networking configurations, including legacy systems or methodologies.Minimum 12 years of experience in a customer-facing sales or consulting role (not necessarily in tech).Technical curiosity and passion; ability to stay up to date with Cloudflare products and industry trends.Focus on learning, teaching, collaboration, mentorship, and growth within the team.Strong project management, relationship-building, and emotional intelligence (EQ).Desirable
Understanding of the role of firewalls across L3, L4, and L7, and familiarity with RESTful APIs and HTTP analysis tools.Undergraduate degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field (not a strict requirement).Foundational understanding of AI and ability to explore or build AI-driven capabilities to help customers adopt practical AI.Bonus Points
Graduate-level degrees; certifications such as Azure / AWS / GCP Architect.More about you
