CAD Drafter

CAD Drafter Golden, CO 80401 System One is seeking a CAD Drafter in Golden, CO to prepare accurate, detailed drawing packages and complete bills of material for Cooling Tower Projects. Drawing Packages include Structural frames, Distribution systems, Mechanical system, Internals and Access means. Drawing Packages are defined as Arrangements, Installations & Fabrication drawings complete with full bills of material. Important Details : Temp-to-hire opportunity with possibility of conversion to a permanent role after 90 days Pay rate up to $30 / hr. Salary will be commensurate with experience. Work schedule : Monday through Friday, standard business hours Weekly pay Benefits after 30 days (health insurance, dental insurance, vision insurance, etc.) 401k after 30 days Job offer will be contingent on drug screen and background check Technical Responsibilities : Use computer-aided drafting equipment and proprietary design software, Microsoft Office applications, technical handbooks, tables, calculators, and traditional drafting tools such as scales, pencils, protractors, and T-squares. Confer with engineering staff and other personnel to resolve problems. Draft working drawings, diagrams, specifications or cross-sections of Cooling Tower components, as required for instructions to installation crew. Draw master sketches to scale showing relation of proposed installations to existing facilities and exact specifications and dimensions. Measure factors that affect installation and arrangement of equipment, such as distances to avoid interferences. Assemble documentation packages and produce drawing sets which are then checked within the Drafting department and / or department management. Review completed construction drawings and cost estimates for accuracy and conformity to standards and specifications. Interpret specifications, calculating quantities and volumes. Explain drawings to production or construction teams and provide adjustments as necessary. Supervise and train other technicians, and drafters. Other duties as required Requirements Associated Degree’s in Drafting / Design and two years of related experience or Bachelors in Technical Management, Environmental or Industrial Design and 0 – 2 years of related experience Must be proficient in Architectural or Mechanical AutoCAD and MS Excel Experience with created accurate 2D and 3D drawings is a given but an emphasis in creating accurate material lists.
