What you'll be doing...

The Associate Director, AI, Marketing Technology & Personalization is a pivotal leadership role within the Verizon Business Group marketing team, focused on blending technology, process, and people to scale our marketing efforts.

We're looking for an AI-first leader who is naturally curious and understands advanced disciplines within artificial intelligence. You'll be at the forefront of reimagining the future of marketing technology and the Martech team itself, eager to explore what is possible with AI. This role will lead technical builds and prioritization, but we are seeking a leader to help us build an AI-first future..

Responsibilities include :

  • Martech Strategy & Implementation : Translate product strategy into a clear roadmap, collaborating with IT and vendor partners to implement new technologies.
  • Cross-Functional Leadership : Actively represent marketing in broader corporate strategic planning and technology discussions, serving as the resident expert on Martech stack capabilities in campaign design and solutioning sessions.
  • Platform Management : Oversee the configuration, maintenance, and governance of the Adobe Experience Platform and other Martech technologies, ensuring seamless integrations and data flows.
  • Team & Project Management : Lead a technical team, fostering career development while prioritizing work, managing deadlines, and ensuring accountability.
  • Performance & Evangelism : Establish measurable goals and KPIs for the Adobe Experience Platform and serve as a key evangelist for the platform across the Verizon Business Group.
  • Operations & Planning : Establish processes for technology delivery and onboarding, lead the annual planning process, and facilitate monthly reviews to track progress toward departmental goals.
  • Innovation : Stay current with emerging marketing technologies and trends, such as AI-powered tools, to continuously innovate marketing capabilities.

What we're looking for...

You are a sought-after technical resource and a dynamic team leader, adept at communicating complex concepts in simple terms. You thrive on finding innovative, outside-the-box solutions while also managing the day-to-day tasks that keep the Martech stack running smoothly. You are comfortable working in an ambiguous, fast-moving environment, acting with a sense of urgency to deliver results on time and on budget. You can lead meetings with senior executives, track action items, and push deliverables to completion. You are an AI-first enthusiast, capable of delivering and growing the Martech stack based on business priorities. You can manage stakeholders smoothly and build relationships across the business unit.

You'll need to have :

  • Bachelor's degree or four or more years of work experience.
  • Eight or more years of relevant experience required, demonstrated through one or a combination of work and / or military experience, or specialized training.
  • Four or more years of experience in a Martech management role.
  • Hands-on experience with Adobe Experience Cloud implementations.
  • Experience with a range of products like Adobe Experience Platform, Marketo Engage, Target, Analytics, and Customer Journey Analytics.
  • Experience managing, leading, and developing teams.
  • Experience driving complex projects and collaborating with stakeholders across all levels of the business.
  • Even better if you have one or more of the following :

  • Deep technical expertise with Adobe Experience Cloud and Customer Data Platforms.
  • In depth understanding of the VEGAS (Verizon Enterprise GenAI & Agentic Services).
  • Adobe Business Practitioner certifications.
  • A proven track record of driving continuous improvement and innovation.
  • The ability to prioritize competing requests, solve complex business problems, and partner with IT and vendors to innovate and expand our technology capabilities.

    Where you'll be working

    In this hybrid role, you'll have a defined work location that includes working from home and a minimum of three days per week in the office, which will be set by your manager. Employees are responsible for maintaining compliance with hybrid work policies.

For part-timers, your coverage will vary as you may be eligible for some of these benefits depending on your individual circumstances.

    The salary will vary depending on your location and confirmed job-related skills and experience. This is an incentive based position with the potential to earn more. For part-time roles, your compensation will be adjusted to reflect your hours. The annual salary range for the location(s) listed on this job requisition based on a full-time schedule is : $126,000.00 - $242,000.00.
