Diabetes Educator - Outpatient Dietitian - DIABETES LEARNING CTR, Kadlec Regional Medical Center, Richland, WA

Under the general direction of the Manager and Director assesses and evaluates clients' needs; Provides individual and group instruction in diabetes self-management based on assessed needs and clients' abilities; Counsels clients in self-care; Documents results and, performs related duties as assigned; Provides general nutrition counseling; and provides clinical nutrition support for rural hospitals as applicable.

Shift : 1 FTE, Full-Time, Day shift

Required qualifications :

• Bachelor's Degree Of Science degree in Nutrition, Pharmacology, or related field from an accredited educational institution.
• Upon hire : Washington Dietitian Certification Or
• Upon hire : Washington Nutritionist Certification or National CDR Registered Dietitian - Commission on Dietetic Registration upon hire
• Upon hire : National CDR Registered Dietitian - Commission on Dietetic Registration
• Within 2 years of hire : Certified Diabetes Educator (CDE)
• 2 years of relevant experience, education, hours (as defined by the NCBDE) to obtain CDE within 2 years from date of hire into the position.
