The Role : Head of Sales to lead and scale our high-performing, geographically dispersed sales team. As a player-coach , you’ll be responsible for strategy, KPIs, and directly driving growth across our non-Texas markets (Georgia, Florida, Louisiana), while working closely with the well-established Texas team.
This is a hands-on leadership role for a passionate and experienced B2B sales executive who can drive outcomes and elevate performance.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Lead Multi-State Sales Teams : Supervise and support a team of four sales professionals operating across Georgia, Florida, and Louisiana. Foster collaboration, accountability, and professional growth.
- Own Regional Revenue Growth : Take full responsibility for driving sales performance in all non-Texas markets. Work closely with the Texas sales team (led by the CEO and a three-person sales group) to align strategies and share insights.
- Be on the Ground : Regularly travel to meet with municipal clients, build relationships, and close high-impact deals. Your presence in the field will be key to developing trust and long-term partnerships.
- Set and Track KPIs : Define clear performance metrics, monitor results, and drive a culture of accountability and results-driven execution across your team.
- Develop Talent and Scale the Team : Provide hands-on coaching to your current team and play a key role in expanding and strengthening the sales organization as the company grows.
What We’re Looking For
Seasoned Sales Leader : 10+ years of experience in B2B service sales, ideally within infrastructure, utilities, or municipal contracting.Player-Coach Mentality : You’re just as comfortable closing deals yourself as you are leading a team to success.Multi-State Team Leadership : Proven ability to manage and motivate remote teams across multiple markets.Growth Environment Experience : Background in scaling sales efforts within fast-growing or M&A-driven companies is a strong plus.Relationship-Driven : You’re a strong communicator and natural relationship-builder with a proactive, client-first sales approach.Regional Expertise : Familiarity with the Southeast U.S. (Texas, Georgia, Florida, Louisiana) is a definite advantage.Why This Role Matters
