Our Nursery Production intern  will work hands-on with our crews and the growing team to learn all about growing methods.

Your primary focus will be container production and growing methods; B&B field production, harvesting, and growing; and scheduling production in both the nursery and the greenhouse.

This is a paid internship.

Jobs Duties :

• Cultural Practices- Conduct a wide variety of growing duties including pruning, spacing, weeding, irrigation, fertilization, etc.
• Planting annuals, woody and herbaceous perennial stock into containers.
• Prepare, plant and transport product to growing fields.
• Plant trees and evergreens in the field.
• Shipping- assemble and load orders of containers and / or perennial stock for retail and / or wholesale sales.
• Field Harvest- Harvest and package field grown nursery stock in B&B, bare-root, or gro-bags.

Production Planning / Inventory-assist with a wide variety of inventory duties in container and field production Other duties- there may be a wide variety of other production or support duties that are required on an occasional basis Attend weekly grower meetings to learn and discuss plant health / production Operate a variety of nursery equipment in the performance of above duties Qualifications :
