Role Description
The goal of Damascus Marketing is to capture and reveal the heart of the gospel at Damascus. The Graphic Designer at Damascus is a vital member of the Creative Marketing team, providing the expertise that conceptualizes, designs, and implements strategic visual communications for Marketing & Sales and it’s sub departments communication.
Design visual communications involving reports, e-newsletters, brochures, manuals, forms, web and social media graphics, posters, apparel and event collateral.
Execute design process including production of artwork, submitting final designs for approval, securing of production and costs estimates, and keeping projects on schedule.
Explore best design practices for print and digital design. Implement and maintain brand standards for the organization and is involved in strategic planning efforts related to marketing, development, membership, and digital media, and serve on internal teams.
Qualifications
- 2+ years of relevant experience
- Undergraduate degree preferred
- Strong competency with the adobe suite and at least one of the following : Indesign, Illustrator, Photoshop, Lightroom
- Creativity, communication, problem-solving, and attention to detail
- Portfolio
- Graphic design experience in most of the following : Web, social media, print, digital, newsletter, apparel, booth design
- Knowledge of social media marketing strategies and best practices
- Ability to work well in a team and collaborate with others
- Passion for the mission and Catholic values
Compensation
For this role, we anticipate paying $30,000 - $50,000 / year. This range is an estimate. The actual amount may be higher or lower than the provided range and will be adjusted based on various factors including qualifications, experience, abilities, geographic location, and duties.
Missionary Support Raising (MSR) is one way in which Damascus invites others to be on mission with us through the gift of their financial support.
In this position, the Marketing department personnel will be expected to fundraise a minimum of $1,500 per month to support their work with Damascus.
Each Damascus employee receives 100% of the funds raised. To thrive in serving the mission, the candidate will receive world-class training in this area and ample time to engage in their fundraising efforts.
