  • Support HUSD Vision, Mission and Goals.
  • Assist the principal and assistant principal in the general administration of the school and assume administrator responsibility as assigned.
  • Communicates, collaborates, and cooperates with colleagues, supervisors, and students.
  • Assists with attendance and discipline.
  • Serve as a resource person to staff regarding policy, procedure, and special situations.
  • Conduct conferences with parents and all involved personnel regarding attendance or disciplinary problems.
  • Suggest alternative means and new ideas, different approaches to aid in achieving students' success and improved educational goals.
  • Conduct conferences with parents and all involved personnel regarding attendance or disciplinary problems.
  • Ensure necessary disciplinary records are maintained for grade level students.
  • Follow-up on students who were assigned penalties to ensure the students are fulfilling this assignment.
  • Monitor attendance of grade level students having difficulty achieving their educational goals.
  • Attend all grade level pupil personnel and multi-disciplinary staffing for student placement in appropriate programs to meet the individual needs of the students.
  • Coordinate with counselors regarding student progress toward the fulfillment of graduation requirements.
  • Assist in maintaining discipline throughout the student body, and deal with special cases as necessary.
  • Administer school rules regarding attendance.
  • Assist in the evaluation of classified and certified staff.
  • Establish goals and objectives bases on analysis of student achievement data.
  • Help with curriculum alignment, instructional strategies and implementation.
  • Analyzes assessments to assist school leaders in data-driven decision making
  • Investigates, adjudicates, and monitors minor infractions of the school code in the form of progressive discipline such as detentions, classroom referrals, and in-school suspension
  • Assists students in establishing high standards of conduct
  • Assists with supervision of student club activities and crowd control at school events
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS

  • Master's degree required, in education or related field.
  • State of Arizona administrative certification.
  • A minimum of three years of successful teaching experience.
  • Valid IVP Fingerprint Card.
  • Specific administrative experience through internship and / or previous employment.
  • No convictions for felonies or crimes against children

  • Effective educational leadership in the profession though membership and participation in the community and in the professional organizations as well as activities with students, teachers, community and individual projects.
  • Effective organizational ability in all aspects of educational programs.

  • Ability to communicate effectively with faculty and student body.
  • Forward-looking in educational views and evidence of a willingness to accept change.
  • Demonstrated competence in planning and developing educational facilities.

  • Stamina to work a full day and then supervise evening events or attend meetings
