Entech Staffing Solutions is seeking Help Desk Technician for a position in Madison Heights, MI! This position is paying $45-50k and begins right away.
Duties :
- Provide technical support
- Support onsite personnel and offsite field personnel
- Answer calls and troubleshoot technical issues
- Communicate effectively to solve issues
- Set personnel up in database and computer system
- Deactivate personnel when needed
Requirements :
Previous customer service experience. (Formal training is a plus)
Credits earned in an Information Technology program or be able to show existing proactive progress toward a technical certification.
Microsoft and / or CompTIA A+ are preferred.
Above average knowledge of PCs, Mobile Phones, and Tablets.
Windows, Android, iOS, Office 365, Outlook, Excel, Word
Network troubleshooting, ping, ipconfig, DNS, DHCP, Static IP
Know how to troubleshoot WiFi and Bluetooth connectivity
Know the difference between a modem, router, and switch
Be able to describe a Virtual Machine and common products
Be able to describe facets of modern cloud computing and provide examples
Know how to add a local user and make her / him an administrator
Know how to install and configure a printer driver
Be able to disassemble a PC and identify the core components.
Be able to identify common ports such as Micro-USB, USB Type C, DisplayPort, HDMI, VGA, DVI, etc.
Any programming or web input forms development experience or interest is a plus.
