The Sales Training Manager, Americas is a remote role in the US responsible for training for Varian Interventional Solutions.

Key Responsibilities

Training Program Development & Delivery

  • Develop and execute comprehensive training programs for new hires and existing sales representatives.
  • Design engaging training materials, including presentations, e-learning modules, workshops, and simulations.
  • Conduct in-person and virtual training sessions focused on product knowledge, sales techniques, and industry best practices.
  • Provide ongoing coaching and reinforcement through field visits, role-playing exercises, and performance evaluations.

Sales & Product Knowledge Enhancement

  • Ensure sales teams have a deep understanding of product features, benefits, and differentiators.
  • Collaborate with product development and marketing teams to update training content as new products are launched.
  • Train sales representatives on competitive positioning and objection-handling strategies.
  • Compliance & Industry Regulations

  • Educate sales teams on regulatory requirements, company policies, and ethical selling practices.
  • Ensure compliance with industry guidelines (e.g., FDA, HIPAA, AdvaMed).
  • Work closely with legal and regulatory teams to ensure training materials align with compliance standards.
  • Performance Measurement & Continuous Improvement

  • Assess training effectiveness through quizzes, assessments, and performance metrics.
  • Gather feedback from sales teams and leadership to continuously improve training programs.
  • Track and report key performance indicators (KPIs) related to sales training impact.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Partner with sales leadership to identify skill gaps and training needs.
  • Work with marketing and clinical teams to ensure sales reps can effectively communicate product value to healthcare professionals.
  • Support sales meetings, conferences, and product launches with targeted training initiatives.
  • Qualifications & Experience

  • Education : Bachelor's degree in business, marketing, life sciences, or a related field (Master's degree preferred).
  • Experience :
  • 5+ years in medical device sales, sales training. Interventional Oncology preferred.

  • Experience in instructional design, adult learning principles, and training program development, and LMS Management
  • 5+ years of proven track record successfully training and developing sales professionals.
  • Skills & Competencies :
  • Strong presentation and facilitation skills.

  • Ability to translate complex medical and technical information into easy-to-understand concepts.
  • Proficiency in e-learning tools, CRM systems, and sales enablement platforms.
  • Excellent communication, coaching, and leadership skills.
  • Ability to travel as needed for training sessions and field coaching.
  • This role can be based anywhere in the continental US.
