Job descriptionCash flow Financial ratios Pressure base / Btu conversions Discounts Variances Depreciations (book / tax) Projections / forecasts Assist in development and maintenance of applicable spreadsheet models and / or distributed applications such as those used in finance and other accounting activities Compile verify and / or prepare financial information including but not limited to : Governmental / regulatory reports Invoices Financial reports Reconciliation reports Quarterly income statements Provide information and assistance to employees from governmental and / or regulatory agencies auditing firms management and others concerning accounting processes and various financial reports Bachelors Degree in accounting finance or other related field with previous experience working in various accounting functions or equivalent combination of formal education and the following job related experience : Accounting Experience with and knowledge of generally accepted accounting methods and procedures Experience performing an intermediate level of accounting activities such as financial accounting property accounting account classification or gas accounting Experience in use and function of office equipment including computers and applicable software Experience and / or training related to : Economic forecasting / modeling and corporate budget functions (specified by position) Gas accounting activities and terminology (specified by position) Communication / interpersonal skills Experience researching composing reconciling and preparing reports invoices studies and correspondence applicable to position Experience reading and interpreting company correspondence reports accounting-related publications income statements contracts ledgers manuals computer printouts and legal documents Ability to : interact advise and communicate effectively Ability to : develop and present information to individuals and groups Ability to : communicate and / or exchange information; conduct oral presentations Ability to : apply math algebra and statistical methods None required Sedentary Work - Exerting up to 10 pounds of force occasionally (Occasionally : activity or condition exists up to 1 / 3 of the time) and / or a negligible amount of force frequently (Frequently : activity or condition exists from 1 / 3 to 2 / 3 of the time) to lift carry push pull or otherwise move objects including the human body. JOB SUMMARY
This position in the RPC Refined Products and Crude segment is responsible for Joint Venture Marine Revenue Accounting. This position works closely with Commercial and Operations to ensure accurate billing and revenue recognition. They will perform monthly account reconciliations create journal entries participate in month-end closing and communicate with internal and external customers. This individual will need good interpersonal analytical oral written communication and time management skills.
