Regional Leader, Private Non-Profit, Financial Lines

Join us as a Regional Lead, Private Non-Profit, this role will be responsible for leading the underwriting teams in the Private Non-Profit team and managing the portfolio while contributing to critical decision making, and profitability of the Financial Lines Portfolio.

How you will create an impact

  • This is a key leadership role in our Corporate Accounts, Financial Lines team in which you will take ownership for achieving goals and outcomes. You will be tasked with managing colleagues and overseeing a range of programs and processes, in addition to handling complex underwriting.
  • You will thrive by successfully balancing the needs of multiple stakeholders and making sound decisions using data, analysis, experience, judgment, and a risk mindset. It will be essential to build effective relationships with brokers and to deliver a high standard of customer service as an example for the team to follow.
  • People management is a key aspect of the role – you will promote a culture of collaboration, inclusivity, and learning while mentoring and developing colleagues through effective leadership, role modeling, and training programs. You will aim to facilitate personal growth and career development, supporting succession planning.
  • You will also play a key role in new business development, including attending broker events and building new relationships across the market.

What you’ll need to succeed

  • Proven, extensive, underwriting experience in Financial Lines and a successful record of selling products to clients.
  • Advanced Finance knowledge and ability to interpret financial statements and reports.
  • Advanced knowledge of the US Financial Lines business (D&O, EPL, PTL, Cyber, Fidelity) including product features, forms, regulatory environment and risks etc.
  • Strong ability to identify, analyze and solve problems as well as the ability to learn rapidly, adapt quickly to change, exercise influence and prioritize and manage multiple concurrent projects.
  • Proven people management skills and a record of developing more junior colleagues.
  • Strong communication, networking, and relationship-building skills.
  • Good organizational and time management skills.
  • Customer and sales-orientated behaviors: motivated, tenacious, focused, technically skilled, proactive, and accountable.
