PAYROLL SPECIALIST

We're looking for a
Payroll Specialist to contribute to the teams continued success. This position will be responsible for executing a variety of payroll functions; as well as ensure payroll is processed with speed, precision, and in compliance with all applicable regulations.
WHAT YOU GET TO DO - Support U.S. and Canadian employees, payroll administrators, managers, retirees, and third-party administrators relating to employee pay from hire through retirement.
- Performs payroll processing functions in UKG Pro using established procedures.
- Ensures that statutory and regulatory compliance requirements are met.
- Maintains all appropriate payroll records in accordance with statutory and corporate governance directives and guidance.
- Identifies deficiencies and recommends additions or changes to payroll process documentation.
- Audits and is accountable for accuracy and timely processing of cases as well as payroll processing.
WHAT YOU BRING
Education / Experience: - AA or BA Degree in accounting related field or a combination of accounting/human resources education and relevant experience.
- 2-3 years of payroll experience, preferably in Canada, multi-state, and/or union environment.
Must have experience/skills: - Experience with computerized payroll or accounting system is required, preferably UKG Pro.
- Familiarity with Microsoft Office products, with high proficiency in Excel.
- Excellent organization skills, time management, and prioritization abilities.
Nice to have experience skills: - Exposure to payroll system integration is preferred.
Must be able to work for a US based company without requiring visa sponsorship.
COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS - Hourly contract rate range of $25.00 to $30.00 based on experience and qualifications, as well as geographical market and business considerations.
