The Fourth Street MA Supervisor is an exciting role at our main clinic in downtown Salt Lake City . This role provides direct care to our patients and supervises an amazing Medical Assistant team with the MA Manager and the Nursing Director .

The team assists primary care, behavioral health, and many specialty provider staff both at our main hub and at outreach sites with our mobile clinic.

Core Responsibilities

  • Supervise MA staff including schedules, timecards, performance reviews, and daily operations of the team.
  • Support patient flow through the clinic, helping them to access multiple services.
  • Model, support and encourage a collaborative culture that values mutual respect, cooperative partnerships, continuous learning, trust, and fairness.
  • Identify, develop, and provide educational opportunities for patients and staff.
  • Utilize quality improvement initiatives with nursing and MA staff to improve patient outcomes and achieve optimal health goals.
  • Ensure all assigned staff meet CLIA, HIPPA, and OSHA guidelines in conjunction with the Clinic Nurse Educator.

Preferred Experience

  • Experience with Epic EHR preferred
  • Second language skills, including Spanish
  • Previous experience in behavioral health, primary care, or with the underserved population
  • Previous supervisory experience
  • Current MA license

Minimum Requirements

Current Healthcare Provider BLS or able to obtain within 90 days of hire
