Position Summary
We are seeking an experienced Business Finance & Cost Optimization Manager to lead key financial analysis, modeling, and reporting initiatives that drive decision-making and improve cost performance. This position plays a critical role in developing cost models, evaluating capital projects, enhancing financial reporting, and partnering with operations and leadership to identify savings opportunities and strengthen profitability. The ideal candidate will bring a blend of FP&A expertise, manufacturing cost insight, and ERP system proficiency to support both short-term performance and long-term strategy.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain detailed financial and cost models that support operational and strategic decisions.
- Analyze ROI and financial impact of new projects, capital investments, and business initiatives.
- Validate and monitor performance of past and ongoing capital expenditures.
- Lead budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis processes to support accurate financial planning.
- Enhance financial reporting tools, dashboards, and data visualization to provide timely insights.
- Collaborate with operations, sales, and executive teams to evaluate cost drivers and improve profitability.
- Implement and refine cost management and financial control processes across departments.
- Utilize Sage ERP and related systems to extract, analyze, and report financial data efficiently.
- Support month-end and year-end close with clear financial analysis and management reporting.
- Identify and drive cost reduction, process improvement, and operational efficiency initiatives.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or Business Administration; CPA, CMA, or MBA preferred.Manufacturing or product-based industry background with hands-on exposure to production cost analysis.Strong analytical mindset with the ability to translate complex financial data into practical business insights.Experience leading or supporting budgeting, forecasting, and capital project reviews.Proficiency in various financial systems; confident using Excel and data visualization tools to streamline reporting.Demonstrated understanding of cost structures, margin analysis, and investment evaluation.Skilled in cross-department collaboration, partnering with operations and leadership to drive profitability.
