Summary
The ideal candidate is responsible for preparing and reviewing financial statements, assisting managers and supporting junior staff, ensuring compliance with accounting standards and regulations, and providing advice and guidance to clients on financial matters.
Responsibilities
- Perform complex accounting activities and financial analyses of General Ledger and Income Statements
- Train and mentor junior staff
- Perform variance analyses and prepare account reconciliations
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual statements
- File and maintain client records and adhere to client confidentiality policy
- Update accounting knowledge by keeping current with best practices, with support of staff training
- Review journal entries of junior accountants to ensure accuracy
- Support managerial staff in administrative duties as it pertains to client services
- Coordinate more complex accounting projects and initiatives with other members of the accounting and finance team or with other departments
- Assist with financial and tax audits
- Perform other related duties as assigned (reports, analysis, and review processes)
Highly detail-oriented and organized. Ability to meet a constant stream of deadlines. Proven ability to work both independently and collaboratively with different levels of employees. Superior analytical and problem-solving skills. Familiarity with accounting software and programs.
Qualifications
3+ years professional accounting experience, either in a public accounting firm or in a private corporate environmentBachelors degree in accounting, finance, math, business administration, or a related fieldEnglish proficiency required and second language (multilingual) proficiency in Chinese or SpanishAbility to communicate effectively in person, on the phone, and in writingPrevious experience with any accounting software preferredProficient with IT and Microsoft Office SuitesApplicants must be authorized to work full-time in the United StatesCompensation and Benefits
