Financial Analyst IV

We're looking for a Financial Analyst IV to join our Integrated Finance Solutions Asset Modeling team. In this role, you'll be responsible for projects that support the modeling of the general account assets and ensure the accuracy, control, and improvement of key modeling processes. You'll analyze results, provide actionable recommendations, and leverage your technical expertise to support cross-functional partners. You'll be responsible for the independent completion and analysis of assigned projects, including gathering and organizing information and statistical and financial analysis, with consideration to timing required and quality of work documentation needed; report on progress and final results, then present results to the appropriate audience. You'll identify areas for improvement and make recommendations to do so, including the development and implementation of new procedures. You'll consult with other departments, providing similar technical assistance to other departments involving statistical and financial analysis, research, solving questions and problems, and presenting results to the appropriate audience. You'll be responsible for the analysis and review of financial information. You'll work toward the development of staff, including self, by expanding knowledge of department, line of business, and industry. You'll perform other job-related duties and special projects as required.

Who You Are

Bachelor's degree in math, actuarial science, finance or related field with a minimum of 4+ years of relevant experience preferred. Self motivated with excellent problem solving, leadership, and analytical skills. Excellent communication, interpersonal, customer service and organizational skills required. Demonstrates the ability to embrace and understand the change process, and effectively guides others through change. Knowledge of spreadsheet and database or similar PC software packages, or the ability to learn is preferred. Aptitude in programming languages is preferred (Python, SAS). Aptitude in actuarial modeling software (ALFA) is preferred. Knowledge of fixed income assets or the ability to learn is preferred.

Salary Range Information

Salary ranges below reflect targeted base salaries. Non-sales positions have the opportunity to participate in a bonus program. Sales positions are eligible for sales incentives, and in some instances a bonus plan, whereby total compensation may far exceed base salary depending on individual performance. Actual compensation for all roles will be based upon geographic location, work experience, education, licensure requirements and / or skill level and will be finalized at the time of offer. Salary Range (Non-Exempt expressed as hourly; Exempt expressed as yearly) $86450 - $116850 / year.

Flexible Time Off (FTO) is provided to salaried (exempt) employees and provides the opportunity to take time away from the office with pay for vacation, personal or short-term illness. Employees don't accrue a bank of time off under FTO and there is no set number of days provided. Pension Eligible : Yes.

This role is hiring in Des Moines, IA and offers in-office / hybrid work arrangements (blending at least three office days in a typical workweek).
