Hiring a HR Generalist near Logan Square Chicago. This role involves a broad range of responsibilities including recruitment, employee relations, performance management, compliance, and training.
The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of HR practices and the unique challenges and opportunities within the nonprofit sector.
Responsibilities :
Develop and implement effective recruitment strategies to attract passionate and qualified candidates.
Coordinate and conduct interviews, reference checks, and onboarding processes.
Work with department managers to understand staffing needs and job requirements.
Serve as a point of contact for employee concerns, providing guidance and resolution in line with organizational policies.
Administer compensation programs, including payroll and benefits.
Provide guidance to employees regarding benefits, leaves of absence, and other HR-related inquiries.
Qualifications :
Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field.
3+ years of HR experience, preferably in the nonprofit sector.
Strong knowledge of HR practices, labor laws, and regulations.
Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
Ability to handle sensitive information with confidentiality and discretion.
Proficiency in HRIS and Microsoft Office Suite.
Pay : $27 - $30 / hr
