Overview

The company invented the world’s first 3D-stacked photonics engine, Passage, capable of connecting thousands to millions of processors at the speed of light in extreme-scale data centers for the most advanced AI and HPC workloads.
In this role, you will work closely with major semiconductor and data center customers to understand their needs, leverage the strength of Lightmatter's internal teams to meet those needs and obtain commitments for the use of our products. This is a highly visible role, responsible for multiple market maker accounts at which you will be the face and voice of Lightmatter. Emphasis will be placed on attitude, communication skills, and ability to represent the company to the highest standard. Come help build the future!
Responsibilities
- Full ownership of assigned customers; you are the authoritative link between Lightmatter and the field.
- Ability to drive substantial sales conversations that uncover core motivators for customer decision-making, as well as overlay Lightmatter solutions to address those needs.
- Leverage strong communication skills and close relationships with your Lightmatter support team to drive agreements to closure.
- Provide input as the ‘voice of the customer’ into Lightmatter’s go-to-market strategy.
- Drive the long-term success of the US Enterprise and Datacenter team by being a collaborative leader among your peers. Constantly striving to improve and expand your capability and skills, as well as supporting your team for the same.
- Understand the selling / buying cycle within the Enterprise and Datacenter customer space and ensure Lightmatter is in sync with customer demand.
- Responsible for several major accounts including hyperscale-class customers.
- Provide forecasts for each key customer.
- Entrepreneurial attitude with a high level of business acumen, with ability to regularly interact with C-level through lower level engineering.
- Strong presentation skills; must be able to concisely and accurately convey key aspects of Lightmatter’s value proposition in an impactful manner.
Qualifications
8+ years overall experience in semiconductor industry5+ years of direct Enterprise and / or Datacenter salesMust have BS degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or Electrical EngineeringUnderstanding Enterprise and Datacenter infrastructure (CPU, GPU, Networking)High level understanding of machine learning models and their use casesDemonstrable track record of revenue growth and ability to close greenfield opportunitiesExcellent written and oral communications skills with proven record of effectively interface with management and engineeringStrong team-centric attitude and interpersonal skillsProcess oriented to navigate and close deals with large, complex corporationsMust be available to travel 30% to 50% of the timePreferred Qualifications

We offer competitive compensation. On target earnings range is listed below. The final compensation will be determined based on location, experience, educational background, and market data.
Sales Compensation : $270,000 USD - $300,000 USD
