Location : Fort Lewis, WA

Setting : Elementary School, Grades PK - 5

Schedule : Monday - Friday, 8 : 00 a.m. to 3 : 30 p.m.

Compensation : $36 - $38 per hour

Employment Type : Full-Time

Position Summary

The Columbus Organization is seeking a full-time Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to join our team at an Elementary School in Fort Lewis, WA .

The LPN will provide skilled nursing care within an Elementary School Setting and manage the day-to-day health care of students.

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver care to elementary students : treat minor injuries, acute illnesses, and manage chronic conditions
• Safely administer prescription and over-the-counter medications according to school and state policies
• Act as a liaison between students, parents, teachers, administrators, and community healthcare providers
• Develop and maintain health plans for students with special needs, including attending Individualized Education Program (IEP) meetings
• Conduct health screenings (e.g., vision, hearing) and provide education on topics like nutrition, hygiene, and disease prevention
• Be prepared to handle medical emergencies and provide immediate first aid
