Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) - Elementary School
Location : Fort Lewis, WA
Setting : Elementary School, Grades PK - 5
Schedule : Monday - Friday, 8 : 00 a.m. to 3 : 30 p.m.
Compensation : $36 - $38 per hour
Employment Type : Full-Time

Position Summary
The Columbus Organization is seeking a full-time Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to join our team at an Elementary School in Fort Lewis, WA .
The LPN will provide skilled nursing care within an Elementary School Setting and manage the day-to-day health care of students.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver care to elementary students : treat minor injuries, acute illnesses, and manage chronic conditions
- Safely administer prescription and over-the-counter medications according to school and state policies
- Act as a liaison between students, parents, teachers, administrators, and community healthcare providers
- Develop and maintain health plans for students with special needs, including attending Individualized Education Program (IEP) meetings
- Conduct health screenings (e.g., vision, hearing) and provide education on topics like nutrition, hygiene, and disease prevention
- Be prepared to handle medical emergencies and provide immediate first aid
Minimum Qualifications
Graduate of an accredited School of Practical NursingCurrent, active Washington LPN license in good standingPrior experience with school or pediatric settingMust have tracheostomy experience and feel comfortable replacing if necessaryWe Offer
