Job descriptionStrong organizational skills and ability to work efficiently under tight deadlines Must be detail oriented with good communication and interpersonal abilities Proficient in MS Excel, MS Word PeopleSoft experience is a plus Skilled in trend analysis and explanation Ability to adapt to and thrive in a fast-paced environment Bachelor's degree in Accounting (Masters preferred) CPA preferred or in process of completion 2 to 4 years in Public accounting preferred
Job Duties and Responsibilities :
- Prepare all accounting entries related to assigned areas and ensure the accuracy of accounts and balances
- Prepare monthly variance explanations for significant fluctuations of actual vs. planned results and trend analyses.
- Assist in preparation of quarterly and year-end financial schedules and related footnotes with adherence to departmental deadlines
- Prepare monthly bank account reconciliations
- Make recommendations to improve existing processes
- Assist with special projects / requests as necessary
